In 2008 the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne received a grant from the Harold Mitchell Foundation which enabled them to establish the Harold Mitchell Chair for Indigenous Eye Health. This post is occupied by Prof Hugh Taylor AC.
At the same time the Cybec Foundation agreed to fund a Research Fellowship to study methods of improving indigenous eye health in Northwestern Australia.

2009 |
Angus Turner: Angus graduated from the University of Western Australia with honours in medicine in 2000.
In 2005 he received an MSc of evidence-based health care from the University of Oxford.
He has held a number of scholarships, including a Rhodes scholarship in 2002, and has published a number of papers.
